USA. THE MINISTRY OF TRUTH

USA: (Magical Republic) MINISTRY OF TRUTH 2017/10/20
In Orwell’s novel “1984” the language of Oceania is called “Newspeak” and methinks this will soon become the language of USA that Magical Republic. In Oceania there is the “Ministry of Love” (secret police, interrogation, and torture), Ministry of Peace (Ministry of War), and the Ministry of Truth (propaganda, alternate facts and History) in USA there is the Emperor.
The new combed-over Emperor keeps ranting about the media and “Fake News” this is, I think, a plot to eventually gain control of the news and undermine the truth. He has maligned and, I would hazard to say, slandered every major News outlet in USA but one, and that one wouldn’t know the truth if it bit it on the backside. It is almost as Yogi Berra said “Déjà vu” all over again as Trumps war against the media is reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 30s. Tell a big lie long enough and it will become the truth.
The new Emperor labels all criticism, including that which is legitimate, of him and his court “Fake News” and the reporters of such as “Dishonest” people and they along with the media outlet they work for should have their credentials and their licenses investigated. If this should come about it is the first step along the road to control and censorship. The shadow of the “Ministry of Truth” looms large on the horizon. The Emperor like so many would be tyrants adheres to the 1st Amendment of their Constitution only when it is convenient. The majority of the time it is a nuisance and can be ignored.
If Emperor Comb Over isn’t ranting against the Media he is rattling his sabre, threatening fire and destruction to certain nations for developing nuclear weapons. At every opportunity he seems to deliberately provoke these nations and undermine the efforts to his Foreign Secretary to attempt a diplomatic solution. He publicly criticises his allies for not doing more and complains that certain treaties that have been made in the past are unfair to USA and need to be torn up and renegotiated. He has, it seems, set himself a gaol of demolishing all the work of previous administration and rewriting History to his liking. In his conceit he has proclaimed himself the “Greatest Deal Maker” a dubious title at best. His idea of deal making relies on innuendo, lies, threats, and bullying. He is the quintessential braggart and bully. He is to put it bluntly a “Head Case”.
This, orange-haired Emperor has little or no empathy or compassion in fact I think it is safe to say he tends to be very callous. The Republics’ armed forces lost 4 of it special forces warriors and when Orange-Hair call to wish condolences to one young widow who is with child he had the gall to say “Well he knew what he was getting into.” Such callousness is absolutely despicable and only an ignoramus would dare say that. Well unless something unforeseen should occur, like a bolt of lightning, the world is stuck with the Orange-Haired Emperor Comb- Over for the next 1, 441 days. Surely the Fates will not permit his re-election.

MOUNTEBANK PRESIDENT

MOUNTEBANK PRESIDENT
2017/06/19
One of the favourite sayings attached to a Mountebank or Con-Artist is “Believe Me” or variations of that. President Trump is overly fond of that expression. There are times when watching him speak the image of a Snake Oil purveyor comes to mind. There is also that of a land swindler who has Prime Water Front Property in the Florida Everglades.
A day or so ago on CNN they had cameras at a Cabinet meeting with Trump and his people present. The first part of the telecast was Trump spouting personal aggrandisements and boasting as to how he is the most productive President in History. This self praise was followed by each of the cabinet members thanking him and praising him like the clique of “Yes Toddies” they are. President Trump may just be the greatest “CON-MAN” ever. He some how managed to con almost 63 million gullible American citizens to vote for him. I think his candidacy started off as a possible lark that soon snowballed out of control and now Trump is so far over his head he is on the verge of drowning and he had no business running for President. Trump is like a small child demanding praise and attention and if denied reacts as any spoiled young child by throwing tantrums. Somewhere along the line his humility gene got cannibalized by his narcissistic gene and the world got an orange-haired Troglodyte. After he is long gone the Oxford Dictionary will revise the definition of “Conceit” to mean “an individual with Trump-like characteristics” (see Trump).
Trump is also the epitome of vindictiveness with his almost continuous stream of insultingly derogatory Tweets. He is trying to govern the country by “Social Media”. He has, I believe, conned himself into thinking he is a genius and infallible. His pettiness has no bounds and he is determined to destroy every act done by his predecessor and turn the world back 50 years to be remade according to Trump. On the evening news the other day Trump announced in, “Little Havana”, a neighbourhood in Miami, that he was reversing some of the deals made by the previous (Obama) administration with Cuba. In said it was a one sided deal giving Cuba everything and the U.S. nothing. Irregardless of the deal made by anyone else Trump always insists he can do better. Neither he nor the Republicans can get over the fact that Obama, an educated Blackman with class beat them twice in elections and they are out to destroy his legacy.
The latest out of the White House is that he is/is not under investigation for Obstruction of Justice, Neither Trump nor his staff seem able to get their act together and get on the same page. The White House also says that Trump has the legal right to fire the Special Prosecutor appointed by the Deputy Attorney General, but he won’t do it. Maybe he realizes that if he did that he would add more fuel to the fire making it look more and more that something has gone on. Either way if he isn’t impeached or forced to resign soon the world is stuck with the buffoon for 4 years and the fates forbid he gets re-elected.

THE VETTING OF A PRESIDENT

THE VETTING OF A PRESIDENT
2017/06/12
It is just over four months since the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America. It has been roughly 140 days of chaos, stupidity, lies, and incompetence. To say that Trump is totally unfit for the job is a gross understatement.
I am not an expert on the American Political system but fortunately politicians are the same the world over so with that in mind let me voice a few thoughts on the American Presidency and Political make up of the day.
In the U.S. there is a Republican President a Republican Congress and a Republican Senate in other words the Executive (President) and the Legislative (Congress/Senate) and even the independent Judiciary is Republican dominated. As long as this is the case the hullabaloo over Trump will remain just that a lot of gum beating. Today at the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings, James Comey the former head of the F.B.I. (Federal Bureau of Investigation) was the star attraction. The committee questioned Comey about his meetings with Trump prior to being fired by Trump. They are trying to find if Trump obstructed Justice by vaguely suggesting that Comey and the F.B.I. drop their investigation into the former N.S.A. (National Security Advisor) Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and his connection to the Russians, if any. There is proof that the Russians hacked into the Democrat Party E-mail and released a lot of damaging e-mails about the Democrats candidate for President, Hilary Clinton, which interfered with the election process. There is talk about impeachment but that is all it will remain until the Republicans begin to realize that Trump is going to cost them seats in the mid-term elections in 2018 and they could lose their majority in the Congress.
It is known that Trump is a pathological liar yet to about 40% of the American voters he is akin to the second coming as one can get. He is narcissistic, overbearing, spoiled, smug, and 70 going on 13. He is determined that he can make better deals than all his predecessors. He is also obsessed with destroying everything that Obama accomplished. He is a racist and it must gall him to no end that a black man with far more class and intelligence than himself could become President. There are reports that when Trump was told of the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the so called Russian Affair he went ballistic. Personally just form looking at him I can see that. In his arrogant conceit he is going to cause possible irreparable damage between the U.S. and its’ allies.
During his campaign for the Presidency he kept referring to a Deep Vetting process for refugees and immigrants from Muslim countries and an alright ban on people coming from six Muslim States that he maintains aid terrorism. Why didn’t the Republican Party do an in-depth vetting of him. This is twice now that the Republicans have screwed up on checking out candidates. The first was Sarah Palin for vice-President and it didn’t take long for them to realize their mistake with her. Trump is a buffoon and I think every derogatory word in the English language, and a few others, have been used to the point of boring repetitiveness to describe him. In closing it looks like the world is stuck with him for the next four years. That is if the world survives those same four years.

USA: THE DAWN OF THE DARK AGE

U.S CAPITOL

USA: THE DAWN OF THE DARK AGE.
2017/02/07

On 8 Nov. 2016 a new Emperor was elected in the Magical Republic of USA. After roughly 18 months of campaigning the choice came down to whether there would be an Emperor or for the first time in their history an Empress. Alas and Alack the working masses of the Republic chose an Emperor and the darkness started to stir.
Under the strange political system that the Republic of USA uses there is a transition period between the out going and incoming Emperors, this is roughly 72 days. On January 20 the new Emperor was sworn in and the forces of darkness which had been gathering started to slowly manifest themselves. The new emperors’ inauguration speech was not uplifting or optimistic in its’ contents but one of gloom and pessimism painting a dark picture of what the Emperor perceived to be the state of the Magical Republic.

It has been 17 days since the new emperor took the throne and he has managed in that short time to upset if not insult leaders of at least 3 other countries. He has started the process to undo all that the previous enlightened Emperor accomplished in his 8-year tenure. The new emperor has banned people from 7 nations who happen to be of a certain religious persuasion painting them all with the Terrorist brush. This ban has been carefully planed as it does not include nations that the Emperor has business dealings with. He has withdrawn from some trade talks and set in process a means to renegotiate other trade deals. He has given tax breaks to the wealthy and deregulated the banking industry giving them free reign. His nominees for cabinet positons are all millionaire businessmen with one being an outright white supremacist.
Now just 17 days into his reign the new Emperor of the Magical Republic has possibly brought that republic to the verge of a constitutional crisis. His immigration ban was over thrown by one of the Republics’ Courts and the Emperor took his anger out by attacking “that so called Judge” as the Emperor describe him saying that if anything “bad happens, blame him”. This “orange haired troglodyte of dubious intelligence and stability has in the past 2 ½ weeks managed to cause a large amount of concern amongst world leaders. He is the quintessential “Loose Cannon” and anything or one is liable to end up in the crosshairs.
So from the enlightened days of the previous Emperor we now lay witness to the approaching darkness and the possible birth of a new evil.

PLUTOCRACY/OLIGARCY?

U.S CAPITOL

OLIGARCHY OR PLUTOCRACY? 2016/12/09.

I was hoping to put off writing until the new year. Specifically, until after the 20th of January, Inauguration Day in the U.S.A. but of late to much has been occurring with President Elect Trump and the choices he is making for his cabinet. The Oxford Dictionary define Oligarchy as: – government of a few people. It also defines Plutocracy as an Oligarchy of the wealthiest. It is well within the realm of reality that this is the form of government that Trump will attempt to establish. It is my understanding that he is going to reintroduce “Reagan Economics” the trickle down effect that is said to result from giving the wealthiest and large corporations tax reductions. This is supposed to in return create more jobs thus the “Trickle down effect” of wealth. It didn’t work under Reagan and it wont work under Trump.
Trump is already taking credit for stopping Carrier who manufactures air conditioners from closing down in Indiana and moving to Mexico. In order to save 1000 jobs Trump had to promise to give Carrier 7 million dollars in tax breaks. Still, even with that incentive at least 300 of those jobs will not be saved.
The people that Trump is picking to be in his cabinet and head the various government departments are a who’s who of the rich and powerful. They are also staunch conservative who within a relatively short time in office will either attempt to, or tear up all of Obamas’ legislation. Obamacare seems to be at the top of the list. Others on the list are NAFTA, The Iran Nuclear Deal, Soft Wood Lumber, and any other treaty or trade deal that Trump doesn’t like. He hasn’t been sworn in yet and already he has upset China, over a phone call from the Taiwanese President. Perhaps the most dangerous thing that is going on is that he has all these apologists ready to step forward and explain his “faux pas”. Some where along the line he picked up on the notion that “If the President does it, it is legal”. A previous President thought that and we all know what happened to Nixon.
Some critics in the U.S. are predicting that Trump won’t last through his first four-year term. They are saying that he will either get bored of the job and quit or he will commit some egregious act that will lead to his impeachment. One can only hope. This past U.S. election campaign has spotlighted the bigoted, racist, neo-Nazi, segment of the American populace under the new banner of the Alt-Right. If there is a hell, Hitler and his cronies must be dancing for joy as they watch their insanity take root in a new form. Trump seems to have a penchant for hiring retired Generals for some of his cabinet positions. Is he by chance either conscientiously or for that matter sub-conscientiously setting the stage for a military coup. What with his actions and speeches anything could be possible? Just think instead of President trump it could be “Generalissimo Trump”, no that sounds Latino so he would choose that. No seeing as, he is German on his fathers’ side it would be “Der Fuehrer Trump”. Like the line from a Disney animation “Heil (pfft) Heil (pfft) right in the Fuehrers’ face”

CLINTON-3/ TRUMP-0

U.S CAPITOL

CLINTON-3/TRUMP-0. 2016/10/20

Trump is 0 for 3 and at Wednesday night’s debate he drove the last nail into his coffin when he would not give a straight answer to the question whether he would accept the election results. In past blogs I have referred to Trump as a Fascists but even more so than that he is a petulant little boy who isn’t getting his own way. He is perhaps the “Most Dangerous Man” in the U.S. at this point in history. By even allowing this individual to get this far in the Presidential Race the U.S. has been flirting with disaster.
His whining paranoia has no bounds, every one and everything is out to get him. Last night it was revealed that he whined that the Emmys were even rigged against him because he didn’t win one for his TV Show. The least criticism or rejection of him you become an enemy and a target for revenge.
To-day at a rally somewhere in Ohio he clarified his statement by saying “I will accept the results if I win, but I also reserve the right to challenge the results if I feel it is necessary”. Talk about a spoiled brat. Perhaps the American people should look to paraphrase Henry II “Will no one rid us of this troublesome Clown”. I almost feel sorry for the Yanks but not quite. If by some morbid twist of fate, he should be elected then he becomes the worlds’ problem. This arrogant thin skinned Troglodyte will command one of the worlds’ largest nuclear arsenals with his finger inches away from the button. I think it is obvious to most normal people who see his antics on the campaign trail that Trump is somewhat deranged. In fact, I personally think he is “A couple of bricks shy a full load.” If one listens to his platform he is determined to undo almost every piece of legislation introduced by the Democrats all the way back to Bill Clintons’ Presidency. More and more Trumps is sounding like Father Coughlin isolationist xenophobic demagogue who had a radio show in the 1930s’ with possible ties to Hitler and Nazism.
The polls in the US are stating that Hillary is ahead and that Trump is trailing badly, but, there is still 19 days to the election and anything can happen. Politics is unpredictable.

CLINTON 2 / TRUMP 0

U.S CAPITOL

CLINTON-2/TRUMP-0 2016/10/10
Last evening, I stayed up to watch the second in the series of three debates between the U.S. Presidential candidates, Clinton and Trump. I must admit I am somewhat biased and favour Clinton but aside from that She won the debate giving her a 2 to 0 lead over Trump.
When it comes to Donald J. Trump it is almost at the point where there are few derogatory words or terms left in the English language to describe him. Those that are in use are repetitive and getting well worn. Last night his performance mimic that of the first debate, a 70-year-old spoiled rich would be tyrant. His performance was or is reminiscent of the spoiled little kid who couldn’t have it his way. What type of political candidate threatens his opponent publicly that if he is elected he will appoint a special prosecutor to indict said opponent for, I assume, treason and throw her in jail.
The recent revelations of Trumps arrogant misogyny, which he puts down to “Locker Room” talk, is reprehensible to say the least. His statement that it was OK to call his daughter “A piece of A-s” is beyond repugnant. What kind of father would say this? Perhaps the most upsetting of this Presidential Campaign is that whatever Trump says or does it seems to be Ok with the Republican electorate. Can they not see that the man is dangerous? Adolph Hitler was considered a clown and buffoon by a lot of the German people and the world knows what happened there.
Some of my friends and neighbours have said to me “who cares it’s in the States” well the answer is that like it or not Canada is closely tied economically to the U.S. and when they cough the rumble is felt up here. We cannot interfere in American politics as that it for their people to sort out but we should be very watchful as to who they elect. Trump is saying that he will repeal NAFTA which could and more likely will hurt trade between us. He has also threatened to withhold support for NATO until as he puts it “they start paying their share”. These threats may sound good to the blue collar segment of the American people but they fail to realize that these moves are dangerous and merely cause more animosity towards America. His pronouncements on Muslims feed the radical factions of that religion. His Islamophobia is a propaganda bonanza for terrorist recruiters.
For the life of me I have never really understood the American Republican system of government. I find their system so like that of ancient Rome which went from a Monarchy to a Republic, to an Imperium, and finally collapse. Perhaps Trump is a reincarnation of “Caligula, or Nero, or Commodus” who knows? Well whatever one believes or thinks when politicians the likes of Trump appear, be wary be very wary.

CLINTON-1 TRUMP-0

U.S CAPITOL

CLINTON-1/TRUMP-0 2016/09/27

I am starting this piece on Saturday 24 Sept. in preparation for the first Clinton/Trump debate on Monday 26th Sep. evening. When the debate was first announced I said to myself that I wouldn’t be watching it. On reflection I have changed my mind and will watch it, mainly out of curiosity. I find American politics most confusing and entertaining in that I personally think their system of governing is nothing but a complete farce.
(Sun.25th)
In approximately 34 hours the two combatants will begin their verbal fencing attempting to score points at the expense of the other. This verbal duel could, at times, prove quite contentious as one of the duelists has a propensity to extort the truth (lie) and unless the moderators have changed their stance will not call either debater out. It should, hopefully, be quite a contest with each trying to out do the other.
It is now the 26th and approximately 10 hours from the start of the “War of Verbiage”. Perhaps we will end up likening this debate (duel) to an other such contest betwixt Burr and Hamilton. That one ended with Hamilton dead. Of course nothing like that will happen but I dare say there are those who would like to see one if not both of the candidates dead. American politics can be so volatile.
It is now just 90 minutes from the start of the first of three debates. Who knows one party might take such a beating that he will refuse further humiliation. That is just my guess. The Republican Debater has already complained publicly that he thinks the moderators will not treat him fairly. What that is, is an excuse beforehand if he loses. It is never his fault but rather always others are to blame. So now I will wile away the next 90 minutes twiddling my thumps in expectation.
It is now 11 hours after the first debated ended with Trump taking a beating. For the first 15 minutes or so Trump held his ground and acted somewhat Presidential but it didn’t take much for the old Trump with his lies and denials to surface and when that happened Clinton played him perfectly and Trump with his foot jammed in his mouth went down in flames. True to Trump fashion everyone and thing conspired against him. From the left leaning biasness of the moderator, Lester Holt of NBC News, to a faulty microphone were responsible but it was his own hubris and braggadocio that did him in. Watching his performance, I was once again reminded of the old news clips from the 30s’ and 40s’ of Mussolini’s pompous facial expressions. The demagogue just couldn’t control himself erroneously blaming Clinton and the Obama administration for all the woes of the country. He even suggested that China should invade North Korea and end that country’s nuclear threat. He blamed Clinton for negotiating trade agreements that he considered the worst ever leaving the U.S. in economic distress. Trump wants to return to the old Reagan “Trickle Down” style economy with massive tax breaks for the rich with the idea that it would create jobs. It didn’t work before so what makes him think it will work now. He blamed Clinton and Obama for the creation of ISIS when the fault lies with the last Bush administration ouster of Saddam Hussein leaving Iraq ripe for extremists to seize power. Trump was asked why after 5 years of supporting the “Birther” movement he suddenly changed horses in mid-stream two weeks ago. He didn’t answer. Trump also had the audacity to boast how he used the law to declare bankruptcy six and not pay sub-contractors. He accused Clinton of not having the temperament to be President where in his case he as an outstanding temperament. This brought a laugh from the audience. What is also laughable is Trump believes his own propaganda. What isn’t so laughable is the millions of voters who follow him knowing he is a “CON-MAN” but despite this might just put in in office. If this should happen may the Fates protect us as he is likely as not to push the ‘BUTTON” if slighted.
All in all, it was an interesting debate and if the trend set continues the Clinton just might kick some Trump butt come November.

Usa. III> THE OTHER CIRCUS

U.S CAPITOL

Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.” Winston Churchill.

Usa III. THE OTHER CIRCUS 2016/07/29
On Monday 25th July the other Circus opened in Philadelphia, Penn. This convention the Democrats touted would be different from that rowdy chaotic display of the previous week. Well on the first day it looked like it was going to follow the Republican Circus into chaos with the Sanders’ delegates protesting and disrupting the convention.
If I were an American (thank the Gods I’m not) I would probably be a Democrat in my political leanings. I think it is safe to say that the Democratic Party is akin to the Liberal Party and I have been a Liberal since I first understood what it meant. Would I get swept up in the hoopla of a convention? I think not as these conventions (circuses) are loud raucous affairs which at times have erupted in violence. The people of the “Magical Republic” tend to take their politics seriously and their patriotism boarders on the chauvinistic.
As with the previous posting I have waited until the day after the circus has left town to give my comments and opinions on what occurred over the course of the last four days. As most educated people will tell you, “Politics” is a dirty game. Always has been and quite likely will remain so. Some politics are not as dirty and corrupt as others. Some “Politicians” try desperately to stay above the dirt but inevitably slide into it when they realize that in order to get things done you have to play the game. Now in the north where the once Dominion was its’ politics can get dirty so even though its’ people like to think we are above that well we aren’t. The only thing that can be said favourably about the once Dominions’ politics is they are not as nasty, dirty, or corrupt as the “Magical Republic”
From 18th July until 21st July and again from 25th July until 28th July we were exposed to a litany of denigration and tearing down of the two nominees. In the case of the Republican nominee perhaps the attacks were justified as he has been proven an habitual liar. He is also a bigot and a racists and not fit to run for election to “Dog Catcher” let alone the “Presidency. The Democrat nominee is no lily white angel as there are some shady areas in her political life. Like all politicians worldwide they have promised the people of Usa the keys to the Kingdom. The question is which definition of the kingdom is the best choice. One definition, if believed, promises a vision of hope and progress while the other is some what darker with its’ walls and mass deportations and a return to days akin to that of the “Great Depression”. Power and wealth to the top so called 1 percent and to hell with the rest of the population.
Whatever the people of the “Magical Republic” choose it will, as usual, impact the rest of the world. So if you believe in a higher power or not it might be wise to pray that the lesser of the two evils wins. Better “the Devil you know than the Devil you don’t”
